Coronavirus

Greetings gigs parents and students,

As Montana enters a state of emergency, I want to remind everyone that I offer online lessons for those who would like to limit face-to-face contact.

If interested, please let me know. Get your Skype or FaceTime accounts prepared and a tablet or computer with a webcam.

As I told you at the February Recital, I teach a couple students predominantly through online lessons. They have excelled admirably and we’ve enjoyed the process. So definitely consider this option in any case.

Thank you all!

Winter Recital 2020

Saturday, January 25, 2020 by Brian Rogge | News

It's the first recital of the decade!

You don't get to say that very often. Now set your calendars: In one month, February 21 at 7:00 at St. Paul's Methodist Church is the next student recital. Many of you have already picked your pieces and are working hard to perfect them. Some of us are just starting and that works well too, because we have a whole month to get ready! Invite your family, friends, and expect great music. Students be there early to tune and warm up.

It's been a great January and I expect to see lots of growth in my students in many directions. Parents, you can help your children focus on their recital pieces and make some goals for next steps. Talk with them! Ask them how the lessons are going and what they would like to learn next. I love to guide students toward success in their own aspirations.

I have a few openings on Thursdays for more students. If you've enjoyed your time with me, please spread the word to potential new students.

See you in a month!

Holiday Practice Contest

Monday, December 2, 2019 by Brian Rogge | Contest

Happy holidays!

(By the way, Andy Williams sings my favorite rendition of "The Holiday Season" - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RlngQQtFw74)

Thanksgiving has passed, and we have even more reasons to give thanks! I'm officially starting my Holiday Practice Contest

How it works:

  1. Students perform any pieces or exercises for any audience.
  2. The audience signs their sheet for EACH piece of music they perform.
  3. Bring the sheet back to lessons in January.
  4. The student with the most signatures will receive a prize of their choice!

Please click the following OneDrive link to access and print your sheet: https://1drv.ms/b/s!AnrJLNke7x-Z33tP3FYFK2t9SGj_?e=TyKVoQ

Let the music begin! ♬♪ ♬♪ ♬♫♩
