Happy March!

Wednesday, March 9, 2022 by Brian Rogge | news

Greetings everyone,

I can't believe it's already March. There are already many new things happening and in the works.

First: welcome to Miss Makenzie Grotbo to the studio!

She is teaching violin, viola, and guitar at St. Paul's Methodist, where I began my teaching career!

Next I am preparing something different, a less expensive option for you my clients, and a possibly more effective format compared to private tutoring. I'm currently in training and I won't reveal too much ahead of time. Stay tuned!

It's tax season and time to alter my fees. I'm sorry to say housing costs have hit us fairly hard. Please don't hesitate to ask me about raised fees and your concerns. I will be sending an official email soon.

Finally, we have to start preparing for the next recital! I loved our holiday recital experience at St. John's Lutheran. The recital is on May 12, 2022. Mark your calendars!

December 2021 News and ♫ Recital ♫

Monday, December 6, 2021 by Brian Rogge | News, Concerts

Greetings students, parents, family, and friends,

What a great year 2021 turned out to be. I personally have been overwhelmed by gratitude in the improvement over last year and how we all band together to continue giving our children and ourselves opportunities to grow and learn new things. In my life, the Helena Symphony Orchestra once again held live concerts and continued to livestream so that those who cannot attend our concerts may hear the our music. I was graciously invited to perform in four weddings and join a bluegrass band, Old Freight Road. My life continues to be filled with music, and for that I am grateful.

My students continue to surprise me with their initiative and motivation to learn new and difficult music. I know this era of unrest and uncertainty can be difficult, especially for our children, but they are and have been so resilient to overcome it. I commend you all for finding respite and meaning in music and learning.

Here we are, finally, presenting our recital. My students have worked hard all year learning new music to present to you this month. See you there!

Government Mandated Mask Wearing

Wednesday, July 15, 2020 by Brian Rogge | News

As of today, July 15, 2020, Governor Bullock made it mandatory to wear masks in any business except where food and drink is served.

So masks are now required for live lessons.
I know some of you disagree with it, and if you don’t want to wear a mask then we can conduct online lessons. Thank you all for the cooperation and I’m thankful that we can continue to have in-person lessons.
