News for my students:
Our next recital is in three weeks! Mark your calendar for 11:00 A.M. on September 14 at St. Paul's Methodist Church. Enjoy music by my students and homemade treats.
We have two special events for this recital. Alex Lee, another local violin teacher, and a few of his students will join us, and the Akustika String Ensemble will perform as well! Helena's own Brian Rogge (violin), Alex Lee (violin), and Jared Selva (viola and cello) will play music to finish the recital.
Check us out here http://www.akustika.live/ and https://www.facebook.com/AkustikaChamberMusic/
Thank you all for helping me create fun Helena music lessons. I will see you at the recital!

Much has changed over the past year! I have experimented with my expectations, materials, method books, teaching location, and even began offering to teach more than violin or viola! I now offer piano lessons, and I accompany many students with piano and performed in a few piano recitals through high school. With an understanding of music theory and knowledge of chords, I offer beginning guitar lessons. I finally have a cello and can teach beginning cello lessons. But beyond teaching instrument technique, I also possess improvisatory skills, ear training, the ability to arrange music, and music theory that I pass on to my students. Every person who enters my studio has a different goal in mind. Some students want to learn to fiddle, some want to accompany on the piano, some want to play in church, some want to improvise music on the fly, and some want to play classical. I have discovered that my strength is meeting every student where they are and taking them on a journey to their goal.
I began teaching out of my home, a goal that I want to attain again someday. Due to the limited space in our apartment and having my young children running around, I had to give my family their space. I called around Helena looking for a suitable teaching location. St. Paul's Methodist Church humbly and graciously allowed me to teach out of their beautiful building, where I still am today. I started with about five students, snatched from the high schools where I student taught, and today I have over twenty students joining me for the 2019-2020 school year. Whatever your goal, allow me to help you succeed. Contact us today for a free lesson!
